Wildwood Springs Starfish Swim Team

The Starfish program is a non-competitive team designed for swimmers learning to swim. It provides a fun, supportive environment for beginners to build foundational water skills and confidence.

Program Details

  • Ages: 3–6 (beginners and non-swimmers)
  • Dates: May 27 – June 24
  • Days: Mondays & Wednesdays
  • Time: 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM
  • Location: Wildwood Springs (WWS) Pool
  • Format: 30-minute lessons with a 2:1 swimmer-to-coach ratio
     

What to Bring

To ensure your swimmer is ready for practice, please bring the following essentials:

  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Swimwear
  • Towel
  • Goggles

Note: We do not use flotation equipment or swim aids. Our focus is on real skill development and water safety.
 

Skills We Work On

Our coaches help swimmers master the basics of water safety and technique:

  • Breath Control: Learning to hold breath underwater.
  • Technique: Developing proper kicking habits.
  • Safety: Jumping in and swimming back to the side.
  • Independence: Floating and basic water safety skills.
     

Important Information

    Communication: All primary updates are sent via Email and the SwimTopia App.

    Weather: We swim in the rain, but will exit the pool for 30 minutes if thunder is heard.

    Registration: Resident registration begins March 9, and non-resident registration begins March 16.
