🌟 Ready for Our 1st Meet? Get Hyped, Starfish Families! 🌟
Hi Starfish Families,
The wait is almost over! We are one week out from our very first swim meet of the season, and we can’t wait to see our Stingrays swimmers show off their skills in the pool.
To make sure everything runs smoothly for our swimmers, we need your help with two critical items:
1. Declare Your Swimmer (Action Required!)
In order for our coaches to place your swimmers in an event, you must declare their participation. Visit our Signup Calendar in SwimTopia to mark your swimmers as attending the meet. All swimmers default to not attending - so no action here equals no events on meet day!
2. Sign Up to Volunteer
It takes a village to keep our meets smooth, fun, and safe for the kids, and all families are expected to contribute.
We have several spots open, today we are highlighting the Timer role! Being a timer is a fantastic way to:
- Stay Engaged: You have a front-row seat to all the action right at the edge of the pool.
- Cheer on the Team: You’ll be the first person to congratulate our swimmers as they touch the wall.
- Vital Function: Timers perform one of the most important roles in the competition by ensuring every swimmer's hard work is accurately recorded.
How to Sign Up: Volunteer signups are available now for the whole season. Please check the SwimTopia app now or pop over to the SwimTopia sign up page to claim your spot and help us make this first meet a success! (For extra fun, sign up your spouse!!)
Meet Day Quick Facts:
- Warm-ups: Begin between 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM.
- Meet Start: 5:30 PM.
- 6 & Under Swimmers: Usually finish their events by 7:00 PM – 7:30 PM.
- Afterward: Your family is free to head home once your swimmer has completed their final event.
Let’s make some waves next Thursday! 🏊♂️✨
